My 1997 C5 start indling rough and the check engine light came on. I got some weird code: QC CODE 424111  I couldn't find anything to help me.
The AIR system was phased out on newer models--They can be very troublesome to sort out issues and codes on a car that is 23 years old---
Most likely your easiest and cheapest fix would be to have a mail order tuner simply turn OFF the AIR system and permanently delete all the AIR codes-
If you live in a smog state still no worries as the smog shop cannot know it has been turned OFF as the AIR system is a VISUAL inspection only All they look at is to see if it is still installed and they will not know that it has been deleted and the codes permanently deleted--Mail order tuners here on the forum can fix this for you forever--Most only charge like $150 And trying to fix this system via repairs could cost you up to double or triple that !!
As far as the rough idle that could point to many other issues
1 If you have a CAI Clean your MAF
2 You can re-set your fuel trims by dis connecting the battery over night
3 check your front 02's make sure the average voltages are between .400 and .500 millivolts
and should rapidly oscillate between .100 and .900 millivolts
Anyone with a proper scanner can check these things for you--
I doubt the AIR system is causing a rough idle as mentioned it only works briefly anyway on start up
