I asked this before, with limited response. Is there anyone local that can do a dyno tune with LS1 Edit? I'm not going to pay MMS $800 for doing something that most tuners are charging $350 or less.
Hey i have asked this before as well. Sadly no. Superior Automotive in anaheim has a dyno, but you need to buy preditor then bring it with you for them to dyno tune. And this is the best out her in so cal. if you even find any shop that has actually purchased ls1 edit please poast it.
Talk to Joe Jill the owner. If you haven't been to his shop, it's worth your time to stop by. In Aug. I had set up my Vette club's dyno day there. They have a Dyno Jet chassis dyno, an engine dyno and complete machine shop to build any kind of motor you want.
They've been building V8's for over 40 years and have great experience w/ the LSX motors.
When we were there in Aug. they had just completed the training w/ Diablo software. I believe they are dyno tuning C5/Z06 w/ the Diablo software.
Plus, IMHO, they much cooler to deal with than MMS (OK, flame away, but at least I call it like I see it.)
No they didn't dyno tune my car. I set up my Vette Club's Dyno Day at their shop and when I made my dyno run (they have a Dyno Jet) my HP & TQ curves were smooth & clean with NO upward or downward spikes at all. I'm probably running slightly FAT, but that's OK with me. Due to the clean dynograph, I don't think that I needed another tune.
I'd encourage you to call Joe or visit their shop. All of the members in my Vette club that came out for Dyno Day were impressed and they wanted to make it an annual event with my club.
I don't have any incentive to recommend any shop. I'm just offering info to answer the guys original question and share my personal experience.
I have been there, superior. great folks. but they want you to come in with your own version of diablo for them to do the tune. i do not want to purchase it , seems like they should have to provide it. I have an m6 so all the available adjustments of shift points, and automatic trans stuff, i do not need. and i do not want my thermo adjusted. so basically i just need the air/fuel ratio feature and it just doesn't seem worth the $400 just for that even as bad as i need it. AA in vebntura now has ls1 but he doesn't have a dyno and that's crutial for my tune. suggestions?

Yeah, waiting for Andy to get a Dyno is an option. When I was @ Superior in Aug. '03, they had just completed a long training session w/the Diablo people. You might want to give 'em a call to see if they have the software to dyno tune with now.
Also as another option, based upon your mods & part specs, you can get a custom from Diablosport, using the Predator to flash your PCM.
