From Paul.
"When you install a new version, EFILive will replace ALL the files that it originally installed (except the calc_pids.txt file - just made that change in build 21)
If you have added new files, they will be left untouched.
If you modify the default gauges - they will revert back to their install defaults when/if you install a new version.
If you create a custom dash and you do not want the gauges in your custom dash to revert back to their install defaults then you should save each customised gauge with a new name - preferably in a new theme folder (i.e. not in the Default theme folder)."
You also need to put in the Vin and License. I just copy the file to the new install. Save all your copies in a seperate folder.
The V5 license won't work in V6.
You are right about the caps - it does need to be all caps.
Also EFILive V6 only asks for the VIN if it is being used *prior* to ever having been connected to your car. It's just to give EFILive some indication of which PIDs to display. Once you make a connection to your car, EFILive will get the VIN from the car and use that instead.
EFI V6 - I have it running - the interface is better than v5...
anyone get the rpm/throttle settings to work in the dialog box for the cylinder balance test? The IAT ETC adjusters seem to have no effect. In other words, I can't set the throttle to hold an RPM between 900-1000 to run the test like you are supposed to be able to do?
Mine worked. Try setting rpms by the gas pedal? I remember having trouble getting it to work. You should keep your curser on start and hold the pedal between 900-1000. Start when all the boxes turn green.
