A test of the Secondary Air Injection system has failed. During the AIR test the AIR pump is activated injecting additional air into the exhaust stream. The oxygen sensors should detect this condition with their values falling below 222mv for at least 1.3sec. There should also be a corresponding change in the short term fuel trim. DTC PO410 is indicating that both banks (O2 sensors) did not respond correctly.
Make sure there are no kinked hoses or electrical problems that may have been created in the SAI system during the install.
LEC, thank you for the info. I reset the code and will see if it comes back the car seems to be running fine I will keep a watch on things. Thanks agin for the response.
Check vaccumn lines, there is a vaccumn solenoid down by the air pump if you aren't getting vaccumn when you need to it will set this code you will also get this code if you have had a battery leak acid and damange vaccumn lines over by the battery.
The code came back! I will have to check the vacum line to see if there is a problem, I dont seem to be loosing boost. If the sensor is not getting the right amount of air from the vacum line I'm not sure how to check or fix it?
Your original exhaust manifolds had connections for the secondary air injection (SAI) plumbing. Your new headers should have had the same provisions. I assume that the SAI was completely reconnected???
Good question, I had More Performance in Charlotte N.C. install the headers I will need to ask them if there could be a problem with the conection. The headers are TPIS I would think they had the correct hardware with them to make the conection. Thanks LEC for the info.
