Downloading Predator Program Question

I am attempting to download a custum tune that James at RWTD sent me.
I am following all the steps but my predator is giving the message
"XMODEM timeout" when it should be downloading.

Can anyone tell me what the problem is? and better yet, How to fix it?

I have sent James an e-mail and post on his forum, but I would like to get it fixed before Monday.
Any help is greatly appreciate.

Make sure that you have a good connection and that all of your accessories are turned off radio, auto heallights, etc. Also don't wait a second or so before you hit the enter button on your predator. I have uploaded a custom tune from "James" and on my first try I receviecd the timeout error. What tye of connection are you using? If you are using a usb to serial cable you must place you cable in the usb port that you initially setup. If you use it in another usb port it will not communicate with your Predator because it will have a different com port address. I hope that this helps.

Try a different com port. Click on the options button on the PC program that you are using to load the tune into the predator and it will give you the option to chose a different com port.Keep trying until you get one to work.Com1 worked for me. Good Luck.

Did you try the different com ports? You have to reset it each time that you use the program because it defalts to com8.

yes, I see what you were saying now with the com ports. I just got off the phone with James at RWTD and he walked me through it. I guess I'm kinda slow on the computer issues. But my COM needed change to COM4. Thanks for your help and thanks to James for walking me through it. He has been alot of help with the problems I have been having and so have forum members.
