Predator Return
All,
Need some help here. I tried the predator preformance tune and my car ran bad at WOT. I put the stock tune back in (restore screen) and the returned it to Ecklers. I am told there was still a tune in it and they are returning it to me. What did I do wrong? How can you tell if the tune is out of the dredator??? Any help woulf be great. It does look cool and I am an electronics tech by nature and I realy tried to justify the cost and keep it... Thanks in advance

What they are probably whining about is that you married to your rides VIN when you installed the tune and now I think it might have to go back to DiabloSport rather than Eckler's. I have considered returning mine but I decided I'd go for a custom tune and if that didn't work, I pay the 75.00 to unmarry it and then Ebay it. That said, it has it's uses, but knowing what I know now I would get the HPTuners software! Jeff

Thanks for your info. I did get it back today and I will call Diablo about it when I get my car back Tuesday and see how I can verify my VIN is out, and I am back stock. I did restore the stock tune and my car ran better, and then I returned it. I did make notes in the maunal of the day I installed it and that page was open and on top of the box. I hope my integrity wasn't being challanged :mad I do realy like it, as I am an electronics guy, but man it killed my top end. I gues I should have just went to see Mark @ CAM for a custum tune and some pulls on his dyno to quantify my mods. O well, we live and learn. Thanks again and TGIF!!!

I believe there is no way to remove your VIN once you use on the car. If you go to diagnostics I believe there is an option to show the VIN the Predator is married to. Only DiabloSport an unmarry it, but within you 30 days it should be done free of charge. Good luck, Jeff
