I have a '96 CE and spend most of my time in the C4 area (sort of a hybrid). I need a tuner, came to the C5 area and searched for the best one and HPTuner keeps coming up. www.hptuner.com does not exist. Does anyone have a better link to that page? Thanks in advance.
Yeah, I would definitely give the EFILive 'Flashscan' product line a serious look. It's shaping up to be a tremendous package, and I think it's going to leave the other packages with some serious catching up to do.
You are right - neither package will support the 'pre-LS1' motors. In 1996, the C4's had either a 300HP LT1 or the 330HP LT4 motors. You'll have to talk to Carputing about LT1-Edit.
OK. I wuz sadly mistaken about OBD-II. It was supposed to be a universal system that could be accessed by any computer. Apparently, some OBD-II systems are more equal than others. The LS-1 system will not adapt to the LT-1/LT-4 systems. There are OBD-II readers out there that will read any of the systems, but no one programmer to program all of them. I don't want a "plug-in programmer" with someone elses idea of how to tune. I want to go screw it up all by myself!! I'll keep looking and will post what goodies I find (if any!). Thanks for remarks and good cruising to all.....
