Default ABS Reprogram Question

I swapped out my stock C5 wheels with Zo6 wheels and tires. Do I need to reprogram for ABS and active handling?

AFAIK you only need to reprogram the tire sensors, but if you swapped the tire sensors over and kept them on the originals corners, this is a non-issue as well.

How do you like your new setup? When I did it, I had to relearn how to break the rear end loose again! Soo much more grip! Try throwing on something in the Nitto 555 series and you'll really be hooked!

Changed over the sensors, no big deal. I like the look and the set up is great. Nitto's may be next. The concern I had is a corvette mechanic told me I need to reprogram the computter otherwise the ABS and the active handling will not work properly. He said some one he knew of totaled out his Vette with the Z06 setup.

All I've heard is that if you keep the same overall tire/wheel diameter ratio front-to-rear, all should be well with Active Handling. If you try to run different sizes, or even widths, it could confuse the system. If you're running stock Z06 sizes, or even if you get the 10mm wider Nitto's for them, you should still be okay. If you're worried, this would be a great reason for you to do an autocross. It might be fun, but more importantly, you'd learn if you can handle your car safely.
