I just recently got my predator and decided to check out the diagnostic part. I was initially looking to see if it could tell me air/fuel ratio, but I didn't see it. Anyways when looking at the knock retard, there was none for a couple of wot runs I did. I did see it jump up to 5 a couple of times when I was running partial throttle and then let off. Is this something that I should be concerned about? I just have the tune that came with the predator.
I would not worry but it is interesting that you get it whe lifting at partial throttle. I think they may be false KRs. I have heard where the AC clutch kicking on and off can cause false KRs. Or you could be getting some backfire, which could be a indication of something. Definately not heard of this before so I am only guessing.
I have a few mods, Long tubes, intake etc.
Under normal running I don't pull any KRs. Under WOT if I have been Granny driving for a while, I will pull one or two on a initial WOT run but they go away after a couple of runs.
I know I am on the lean side and will be doing some tune work in the spring. Can't do much WOT in the rain
