They required a change in the Air tube which requires removing the Intake Manifold.

I can't help but wonder why the "best" headers didn't have this capability? I just thought that the LGs were made mainly for racing applications and not necessarily for the street.

One last thought of mine. I think that the Ferrari might be a better car than the Vette but it's not even close when you consider the bang for the buck. The same with the Viper. These, to me at least, are a better comparison than the one previously mentioned.

There will always be a market for the ultimate header for those who have to have the ultimate performance machine but many of us don't have the money to go satisfy all our desires which is why we drive Corvettes instead of Lamborginis or Ferraris.

Of course this is all just my opinion and I don't mean to down anyone's product or opinion.
Well said.

To each there own. But if you did all the searches and found what you found you answered you own question already.

He was not satisfied with the gains after he put a cam and head in the car so he is getting our headers.
I will keep you posted on the results.

Not to continue a hijack, but I'm curious if LG has the ***** to tune the Dynatechs on a dyno, provide a chart WITH the A/F shown and then do the same car with the LGs, tuned and showing A/F on the chart. Now that's something I've wanted to see for a long time to put the issue at rest. Since he sells both, I don't see why he wouldn't take this opportunity to do the comparison. Put the money where the mouth is, so to speak. But, as most times happens, I anticipate some sort of lame excuse such as time, money, owner can't leave car that long, etc. that will preclude a true header-to-header comparison on what appears to be a good candidate car.

Again Nick, sorry, but this was the perfect opportunity to address the Dynatech vs. LG debate.

This test is already in progress. Lou agreed a few weeks ago to send a set to LAPD and do a dyno comparison between the LGs and the dynatechs. I forget who volunteered their vette for the test. I am very interested in the results. Does anyone have the link to that thread? I will try to look for it.

Cool! I underestimated Lou. I can't wait to see the results. Post the thread link if you find it.

That was me. The test has not been started yet. I've been out of town every week since. Hopefully, my schedule will lighten up shortly. Stay tuned, it will happen.
