Pink Fluid Leakage
Anyone ever had leakage of pink fluid from their C5? I'm assuming it's transmission or power steering fluid. Leakage is only occasional and only when I back out of the garage and a downhill driveway with a few spots of pink. I placed papers under it while it's parked in the garage and I find no leakage. Only when it rolls down the driveway do I get about six little spots of pink and it stops before getting to the street. This is a 2000 automatic with 44,000 miles. Any idea of what's going on?

Could be the rear diff, which is a VERY common problem on all C5s. We had a mod day a week or so ago, and we had 5 Vettes up on the lift, 4 of them had the leak. If you can get under the car you will see moisture/buildup on the diff.

I would find one of the drops and give it the "feel test". Does it feel oily or watery. Could be coolant if its watery. Steering or trans if its oily.
Just the feel test, not the taste test!!
PS - mine drips about a drop of coolant a week when its cold. Probably need to tighten a hose clamp!

I had the exact problem with my 98. Didn't leak in the garage but when I backed it out of the garage on the slanted driveway and put it back in park to let it warm up it would leave a small puddle. What I found wrong was the rear transmission seal was leaking.
