Default supermax

I am seriously looking into getting supermax headers. I have an 02 6spd. with vararam and borla stingers. What gains could I expect, anybody with the same setup let me know what you think. Can you feel a definate power increase, any problems. Also I woul like to stay away from custom tuning right now. Also the price for them with high flow cats is $1,500 is that good.
thanks Steve

I have a 2000 coupe with an A4, and I am very happy with mine. I have corsa indy's and the sound is awesome. Installation was straight forward and you will feel a SOTP difference. I paid a little over $1200.00 for mine on a GP.

Jesus man. Please dont pay $1500 for the dynatechs. I got mine for a little over $1200 shipped as well. You may want to call Tbyrne motorsports as soon as possible because they were having a sale right around that price. It may have ended Jan 31 though. Call them to find out

Tbyrne's is over, yesterday!, but I think tom from Speedinc has one going on...I'm getting my kooks from him...dynatechs were around $1200, which is good, cuz I think Tbyrne was saying price is going up to close to $1500!!

Tuning was a must in my case (Vararam, GHL, Supermaxx). It ran BAD after the Supermaxx install. That being said I made some decent gains with the headers and tune.

The Dynatechs are *not* worth $1,500 - IMHO. The Dynatechs are good headers. I gained 3 MPH in the 1/4. Figure that's about 30hp.

Did you get a tune after the installation? What other mods are you running in your setup?

It seems to me that the Dynatechs are true longtubes from the pictures that I have seen. From a GM HighTech article I read, thye made a 10 gain from a set of Longtubes on a LS-1. After tuning it was more than double to about 22 hp. You decide if you want to tune or not. If you have more mods down the road in the near future, then I would wait for the tune.
