Anyone know about ABS modules?
Any thoughts? Thanks.

IF THERE IS a defective component, the most likely culprit is either a wheels speed sensor or tone wheel.
Or it can be as simple as a corroded connector.
When is the last time you changed your brake fluid? What type (DOT rating) of fluid did you use?
Also, what about the traction control and active handling?
Find a nice open and SAFE area and see if the ABS and TC actually activates.
Doesn't take much a stomp on the pedal from 25MPH will do the job.

What they said. I had that message on my 98 a few months ago. The codes indicated a problem with the LF wheel speed sensor. In my case, it was fixed by disconnecting & reconnecting the short wiring harness that goes from a connector on the frame out to the sensor connector. Must have been some minor corrosion, dirt, moisture, or who knows what. Problem hasn't returned.
The code was C1214 and the dignostics were short and followed, which pointed to the combo of the valve and the control module. Together, they're pricey, and it doesn't appear you can buy the valve alone, but you can buy the control module alone. So, hopefully I'm on my way to getting this fixed.
