Gonna take the FRC to the local performance shop in an hour to hae them installed...it's like the day before Christmas! Hopefully I'm not getting too excited over nothing...
Are you planning on getting the car dynoed? I would be interested in the before and after results. Sounds like you have a fun day planned for yourself. Enjoy!

I'll probably get a dyno tune after a couple more mods, but not yet...

I just got mine installed last week. You'll love it!!! I noticed with mine that I lost some bottom end. I definately need a Dyno tune, but since I'm building a new motor I dont want to spend the cash right now.
What ever you do "Dont" use the cheap paper gaskets that Kooks sends with the kits. Buy a set of OEM metal gaskets or else you will be taking the car back to the shop to replace the paper one cause their leaking.
You are not getting too excited over nothing. They will pay for themselves after every mod you do on your engine from now on. I would recommend installing an LS6 intake manifold next. With the headers you will pick up another 7-10hp.

Same here! I'm finally getting mine installed later this month at MTI. I'm getting a tune from Jason at the same time. Can't wait to see the latest numbers.
What ! Sure they do.
Is it because of the AIR connection?
Just have them rip that crap out !
Longtubes will send you over the edge you may as well pick out your head/cam package now while your waiting for the shop to pull its head out of its ***.
As I posted in the other forum. I removed the headers from Fastbassers car. His car is DEFINATELY a 2000 A4. It's in my shop for more goodies as I write this.
FB represented the headers correctly as coming off a 2000 A4. If there is an issue with the dipstick or air tube, they could be changed to work with the headers.
The 2000 air tube connects to the rearmost port, the 2001 and up air tube connects to the second to rear port. The air tube can be replaced ($66 from GM) or modified (cut and lengthened or bent). It's a hard steel pipe, not easy to bend when the back end is bolted in. I tried.

yep...as you can see from the pic the air tube is on the secnd to last port; strange, will have to deal with it when i return to the states. sorry for the late post, not getting email very often.
