OK, I've read a ton of post on clutches the last few days. Getting a new
clutch put in next week and I'm still on the fence on which clutch to get.
I'm leaning toward the LUK for the primary reason to keep a stock
feel with better performance. But I'm still curious about the Exedy and how
good it really is!
So, whats great (or not so great) about your Execy or LUK Pro Gold clutch?
drag racing wise, I have had a lot of success with the RAM 900 series clutches and if you go with a steel flywheel, the driveabillity isnt that bad.
I'd wait a couple weeks if you can and look at the clutch J-rod got. I took a look at it before it went in his car and it looked A LOT like the Ram I have but in his application, it seems to drive a lot better than my Ram.
do you ever do high rpm clutch dumps or plan to at the drag strip?
No, I will not be doing high rpm clutch dumps very often. I do plan to take
it to the track a few times. With this is mind, I don't think I need as much
clutch as the RAM offers, want to keep it more streetable. I'm still curious
as to which of the fore mentioned clutches (or maybe a 300 series RAM)
would be the best choice for a 98% street driven vette!

J-Rod emailed me some info and it looks like that's the route I will be going if the price is right.....getTING EXCITED!!!!
