A talented local shop has mated a FAST intake manifold to a set of C5R heads using aluminum adaptors. I did not see any of the pieces off the engine, so I have no idea how the transition in port shapes/sizes is managed. The heads themselves supposedly flowed over 400 cfm on the intake at .600" lift.
Has anyone else seen this approach? I'm hot to get a better flowing top end on my 427, but was planning on waiting for the LS7 stuff to become available, but this is tempting.
I am in same boat... waiting for ls7 heads. C5R heads are just to damn expensive to have completely setup. If the ls7 heads can get real close to the full potential of the c5r I will go with those.
Looks to me like the LS7 manifold, heads and rockers will have to go together.
The FAST ports aren't even close.
You know I saw those pics before but never noticed the shape of the intake ports, thats interesting, I wonder why they went back to a more traditional shape rather than the cathedral style port.
