Picked up my new Silver C6 on Friday and I need to install my Escort 8500 detector. I would like to hardwire it but not sure if there are any spare spots in fuse box or what wire to tap off as I only want it to work off accessory or when car is running. Any help would sure be appreciated.

On the passenger side footwell, under the floor rug, there's a panel that comes up just like the panels in the hatch area. Toward the top left in that compartment is a three wire accessory plug. I forget the colors: I think yellow, orange, and black. Black is ground, one is battery (i.e., hot always), one is switched on with the key.
Somewhere here on the forum is an explanation of this.
EDIT: My bad, I missed the part that you got a new C6. Not sure if this C5 feature was kept forward for the next generation. You might check "accessory" in the index of your owner's manual, as that's where it can be found for the C5 manual.
