Default Feedback needed on the Borla straight pipe catback

What do you guys think of that exhaust? It is cheap and should save considerable weight over stock.

Will this setup be deafening with stock manifolds, H-pipe and cats in place?

Any resonance or other irritations?

On a C5 w/ stock manifolds and cats I think it'd be aewsome, but on my Z06 w/ Kooks LT's and high-flow cats it was way too much. I love loud but I was getting headaches. Needless to say I sold them and went back to my Stingers.

BTW tip allignment is kina hard and at best then sit lower and wider than I ever liked. My stingers tuck up nicely under the bumper.

With LT headers and 383 stroker, mine would shatter kidney stones. I love it Can wait to hear how it sounds with the 402 stroker and F1-R.

With cats you're ok. I have long tubes and no cats and it's REAL loud. It sounds really nasty on decel too. I love it but there is some real bad drone at 2200-2500 rpm

Make that 2200 to 3400 RPM. The normal driving range. Outside the car it's great. Inside,...stop it, stop it, I'll tell where the nukes are hidden, the combination to the vault at Ft. Knox, anything! Just stop the drone..................I'm getting a new exhaust system. Probably a Tri-Flo. Plenty of noise when I stomp on it, quiet when I don't.

That's why you need to add a cam, makes it quieter. Love my straight pipes.
