Default Have a question...

I was tracking this past weekend on a 1.9 mile 15 turn course. During the course of the weekend, obviously everything got really hot, especially tires and brakes. On the last run of the day though, when I took my cool down lap and came into my pit, I noticed several messages on my DIC. First, my sensors were showing that I had two flat tires (which I didn't) and also, my "reduced handling" message came on for a brief second. After the tires cooled down some, my sensored seemed to work fine. My question is this, after the "reduced handling" message comes on and goes off, do I need to go to the shop and have anything cleared out of my computer or does it automatically correct itself when a message goes off the DIC? The reason I am asking is my car seems to be running a little sluggish (not bad but different)...

Any help would be greatly appreciated?

Also, I have been suffering from piston slap, especially when its cold (seems a little more pronounced now that I am back from the track), but now I seem to be hearing a faint, faint tapping even after the car is warm. It may have been there all along, but I am just listening alot closer to it now after having been to the track. Is that normal to (faintly) hear piston slap after the car is warmed up?

Thanks gang,

Jason

See what codes remain, pay particular attention to any codes that have an "HC" after them. You didn't mention any warnings from the Active Handling Traction control so, after making a note, go ahead and clear the codes and check them again after a few days driving. Post any codes that have a "HC" after them on this thread.

Checked codes... Nothing with "HC" at the end of it but several with "H"... See Below:

[40-BCM] B0502H - RH DRL RELAY CIRCUIT
[40-BCM] B0507H - LH DRL RELAY CIRCUIT
[40-BCM] B2482H - BACKUP LAMP RELAY CIRCUIT
[40-BCM] B2587H - COLUMN LOCK / UNLOCK DRIVE (A)

[60-IPC] U1160H - LOSS OF COMMUNICATION WITH BCM

[A0-LDCM] B2282H - BATTERY #1 FAULT
[A0-LDCM] B2284H - BATTERY #2 FAULT
[A0-LDCM] U1064H - LOSS OF COMMUNICATION WITH BCM
[A0-LDCM] U1016H - NO DESCRIPTION

[A1-RDCM] B2283H - BATTERY #1 FAULT
[A1-RDCM] B2285H - BATTERY #2 FAULT
[A1-RDCM] U1064H - LOSS OF COMMUNICATION WITH BCM
[A1-RDCM] U1016H - NO DESCRIPTION

[A6-SCM] B2860H - NO DESCRIPTION

[B0-RFA] U1096H - LOSS OF COMMUNICATION WITH IPC
[B0-RFA] U1064H - LOSS OF COMMUNICAITON WITH BCM
[B0-RFA] U1016H - LOSS OF COMMUNICATION WITH PCM

Jeez this seems like a lot of codes, but I haven't cleared any codes since the last time at the shop. Some of them I am sure come from when my battery died last month. The rest dont seem like they would be affiliated with tracking, but with my limited knowledge I wouldnt know anyway...

Any info on these would be appreciated...

Thanks

I would just clear them and check again in a couple of days. There are no "HC" codes and low voltage will trigger all kinds of stuff.
