I was just reading a thread on bad oil pressure sensors, and all of a sudden mine decided to crap out ( I hope). I noticed the other day that it was running 75 psi@ 2500 rpm's which seems impossible! When i turn the motor off the gauge still reads 31 psi! Has the sensor gone bad, if so where is it located and how much will it set me back? Thanks, Chris
Yup sounds like the sensor alright. It is located right behind the intake. Right near the fire wall. (drivers side) Not the air box, the motors actual intake. You can pic one up at any GM dealer. Should set you back about $60 if you do the labor yourself. Probably more like $200 if someone else does it. It really isn't to hard though. I just did my buddies like a week ago. The biggest pain in the *** is the vacuum tube at the back on the intake.
Zakk Wylde's other guitar player. (Nick Catanese) goes by the name Evil Twin. Thought you might have been a fan.
I now see your avatar... I think my son is older than you...
Ive had this screen name for about 14 years.... Had to do with my First twin turbo car, which was called my Evil Twin.
