Default Yet Another CLUTCH Questions!?!?

Ok my clutch has a little over 65K on it. The clutch grabs and locks fine for normal driving... Twice in the last month now I've noticed that if I go to launch the car fast or from a slow roll that the if feels like the clutch isn't locking up... (In Competitive Mode) Car revs up and clutch spins but you don't accelerate very hard... It will do this through the end of 1st and would go all the way through 2nd if I wouldn't let off. Third gear never gives me a problem and downshifting never causes this either. Is it time for a new clutch if it still locking up for normal street driving?? If so should I get Z06 Clutch, Master & Slave - & how much is it going to run me with labor. I'm going to try to not go to the Stealership.... Thanks!

Get on the highway and put it in 6th at ~60 MPH and floor it. This puts the most load on the clutch. If it slips there it's on it's way out. If not you may have just glazed the clutch. Some hard dumps should clear that up.

Sounds like the same thing that happened to mine. I'm h/c, 387 RWHP. Changed the clutch at 18,000 miles. Went with the ZO6 with master and slave. Now have 27,000 miles and it is still perfect. I can't remember for certain but I think it was $900 for every thing.

Thanks for all of the input... I put it in 6th around 60 mph & floored iy and the clutch stayed locked up... So it sounds like I just glazed it. I'm going to hold out & try to get it replaced during the summer months ... Thanks again!
