Default a little info please?

i am installing a new alpine in dash LCD touch screen in my vette, the little problem is where to put the "brain" it is the size of a small amp, about 12" long 6"wide and 3"deep. i was originally going to put it under the pass. seat, but it wont fit, its too thick. so now i want to put it behind the pass. seat, resting against the back wall under the rear window (my vette is an 01 Z06)
so the question i have is, whats behind that wall? is it ok for me to screw down the brain to the wall? or is there something close behind it that would get dammaged? (where is the gas tank?) i could use velcro to secure it enough that it wont go anywhere, but that will not be good enough for the insurance company (ICBC) who require that it cannot be taken out of the car without the use of tools to qualify for getting insured. so does anyone know whats behind that wall behind the seats?
