I use fuel injector cleaners in my other vehicles, but do not know if I should use it on my '98 Corvette. I purchased the vette 3 months ago and it has 72,000 miles on it.
If so, what is a good product?
I use Techron every few months or so - I know some guys like Redline. Either way, I believe it helps keeps the fuel sensor working, and helps clean the injectors and/or fuel system -
Techron or Red Line Fuel System cleaner. Both are good products. Not everyone carries the Red Line. I found it at Pep Boys in Dallas, it fixed my erratic fuel gauge problem, which is common on the C5 cars. Its not a bad idea to run a bottle of this through the tank 2-3 times a year to keep the fuel sending units sulfer free as well as your injectors too. Good Luck and happy motoring!

I use the recommended amount (very little) of Redline in EVERY tank of fuel and then a full bottle of Techron at 3k,just prior to oil change.I have 2 C5's and they have been on this diet for years. No ping-ever!
I have used Chevron gasoline since the car was new. The owner's manual for the Z06, as well as owner's manuals for other cars says to adding chemicals to your gasoline. The addition of chemicals to your gasoline could corrode your fuel injectors. All you really need is a good quality gasoline (Chevron, Mobil, Exxon, or any of the Top Tier gasolines).
I have a Nissan 300zx and periodically, the injectors stick closed. I have found that fuel injector cleaner frees them up for 6 months or so. A lot easier than replacing the injectors.
If you guys buy the pep boys calendar for $1 there is a free coupon in there for the techron and buy 3 get 3 free mobil 1 or if they don't have any pm me and i can send 1 to you the store by me has a ton i have 7!
