c5 Oil pressure guage...

ive noticed my c5 has very high oil pressure & i would like any input on what the hell is going on.. ive drove it a few short trips, but i dont want to do motor damage.. my pressure reads 100+ & the guage is full over to the right...

any luck? i think this could have happened after drifted up a curb on the right side...

new sensor time? what damages could happen with still driving the car. pressure stays up cold or hot.

Turn key to on without starting engine, if oil pressure gauge pegs than most likely a bad sensor. Common problem. When you replace it check electrical connector for oil or contaminants and clean with contact cleaner. If there's crud on the connector the new sensor may only last a short time. Mine does the same thing.. it's the sensor.. need to replace it

Same thing happened to my brother's '97 recently. DIC reads 129 and gauge is pegged. Must be a frequent occurence.
