Default stock spark plugs

Hello everyone, I am doing some maintenance on my 99FRC,(royal purple tranny and diff fluid, new brake fluid, belts and plugs, etc) and today i changed the plugs. my car only has 48,000 miles on it and the plugs that I pulled out are NGK PTR5C-13's. Are these the stock plugs? I have looked and searched many times and I have heard about the platinum pucks wearing out, these plugs looked like they had the pucks at one time but now are gone. I replaced them with NGK TR55's gapped at .058inches as suggested. I think chevy needs to give out skin replacemant vouchers with the vettes so that I can get back all the skin that I left around plug #7.

The car came with AC Delco plugs from the factory. Yes - changing the plugs on a car with exhaust manifolds is not finger friendly. Get yourself a set of long tube headers - makes the plug change MUCH easier

Next time use a small extension a knuckle a long extension and then the ratchet, takes 10 seconds and no skin removal.

Delco was on strike in 1999 so a lot of cars got the NGK or Denso plugs. As far as I know they did not have any problems.
