Valve spring compressor mod.
For the few of you that change your own valve springs, here's a trick that worked for me:
I installed double valve springs and the inner spring would pop out because there wasn't enough side pressure on the compressor legs to keep the hooks engaged. A screw type hose clamp does the trick,trim the end and keep it high and it is easier to remove.
BTW, my shop manual, vol 2, states that the harmonic balancer should be marked and re-installed back on the marks. If replaced, mark and use old weights installed in corresponding holes.
