Default transgo-4L60E 98vette????'s

Doing my install and ready to move on,i think. My ?? is,the video differs from the written inst,i know it's an overview.Directions say to follow written inst. But,there is one plate on the side of valve body that has 3 screws holding it down. The video shows adding 2 springs to it(large white),My inst. show none of this, and i do not have those 2 white springs. I have 1 spring thingy for the screen in the separator plate. I have 1 large yellow spring for the 4th accumulator(still in bag)and 2 orifice plugs. I have not removed the separator plate yet or the check ball that goes w/ it.

The video says there ARE 6 check *****,I HAVE 7(INST SAY SO)
MY PAN HAS A LARGE DIP IN THE MIDDLE OF IT(NOT FLAT-16 PAN BOLTS).VIDEO DOES NOT SHOW THAT EITHER!

I have to do a few more things and then refill, drill plate,do 4th accumulator, gasket and then wrap it up.

I did search and read post's by JAWSKI AND VSTELLA,but pics did not come up. I need some clarification here for my sanity.
Thanks,Matt

TransGo Tech support line 626 443 7493

I just finished my install last week and had/have many of the same questions as you. Also, jawski made reference in his thread that one of the valves was inserted backwards in the printed instructions, but he didn't elaborate and I went ahead and followed the instructions. I will get to see if the car is be able to move out of the garage this weekend.

If you want to review or compare installation procedures, let me know.

Kalin

Default ok

I called Transgo(thanks for the numbers!),and they said Follow the instr!!! That is a very generic overview and thw written word is the gospel!! I do not need those 2 white springs(didn't have them anyway).
I need to go get the right filter now for my tranny. The other one is missing an extension of the filter bottom that goes down to the lowest portion of the pan. I need to pull the separator plate next, hopefully tonight. Thanks KRK!!
