Offroad X pipe means it eliminates the cats. Gains vary, depending on your mods.
You will need to get it in for tune to remove the codes .
The hi flow cats are the way to go
If you do remove the cats and run a off road x pipe you will need 02 sims
or an ls1 edit tune
the tune helps and is a must for max hp with headers and an off road pipe

Do you mean just the x-pipe or a new long tube header system? I dont really see much of a point to buying just the x-pipe (maybe a few horsepower and it will mellow out your exhaust sound if you currently have an aftermarket catback exhaust) unless it is in combination with the long tube headers and a new catback exhaust. Spending over $2000 on a new exhaust systm is really up to you and if you really need more rwhp. You are probably looking at around a gain of 35rwhp with a new exhaust setup (LT headers and catback). good luck
