OK so my car has a new problem and I need to get some help form everyone. For some reason my fasten seat belt light in the instrument cluster stays lit while driving.
I get in my car start the car and then fasten my seat belt. During this process the car is going through its self test and all the lights are lit and the go out in the instrument panel with the exception to the seat belt light. What is wrong with this? I have also tried starting it after the belt is fastened to possibly eliminate the problem.
Any help would be great as I hate to drive my car with the bright red light staring at me the whole time. It's like I did something wrong.
I think that I fixed mine, it has not come on since I did the fix... I discovered when I recovered my seats (just a couple weeks ago) that one of the springs was broken and there was some electrical device attached to this spring. I fixed this spring and resecured the device and when I mounted the seats back in the car the light went out. I guess it had something to do with the sensor on the bottom of the seat.
Thanks I was just hoping for an easy fix without having to take the seat off or apart. Oh well I guess I could live with the light for now, either that or spring (literally) for new seats.
