I recently bought a Bassani off road manifold back x pipe, thereby removing the cats. I was informed that to avoid cutting into stock pipes, there is additional rear kit was available from Bassani, which joined the front X pipe to the rear mufflers. When they both arrived I could help but notice that the rear section was also an X pipe (presumably a cat back version).
when put together they are the correct length to do the job, so it will allow me to take off and keep the original cat/H pipe mid section undamaged.
I have read the Tech tips on this forum but I would like to know, what effect if any, will having 2 x pipes in the system have on the overall noise of the Exhaust and the performance of the car.
