IIRC, you have to pry off one end of the housing. Lots of guys have done the Racetronix upgrade though, so maybe someone with a little more memory than I will respond...

A small flat screwdriver and plenty of patience will separate the two. When replacing the pump, make sure to replace the crimp clamp on the flex feed lineand make sure it's crimped well or it could come off the pump. Had this happen to me last week.

Make sure your tank is 100% clean and you replace the fuel filter.
Before running the new pump make sure you have 10 gallons of fuel poured back in the tank and let it sit for apx. 15 minutes before firing it up.
