for everyday performance..do they make a difference?
Iam pretty happy with my Predator plus you can also use it as
a scan tool. I had a Hypertech programmer but it would not
handle the rear change on my 2000 A4 going from 3.15 to 3.42.
When I first got my Predator I used it as a scan tool and found
out that my car was knock retarding with the Hypertech. Then
I got a free custom tune from James that fixed the rear install
which put me into the 12s for the first time at the track.
Waste of money IMO. Didn't help me at all. I have track #s to prove to myself that it did nothing. I am running an A4. If I were you I would mod it and take it
to a professional tuner with ls1 edit and a dyno. Just no comparison to a good tune.

I use a guy that once he sets you up there are no more charges for future upgrades. A good tuner is the only way to go.
the crane/vinci works for me. had it in both cars. picked up .2 and 1.4 mph in the 1/4 on the 00 formula completely stock + airlid. i have track times to prove that. posted it here. on the wife's 99 formula, it picked up 17 rwhp after installing heads. here's the graph. it just depends on which one you get.
