Depends!

What are you running? What tires? did you upgrade the suspension? If it is stock is it the Z51 etc.

You said 95% track? Drag strip? Autocross? Open track?

Alignment is almost a personal thing.

Largely stock and Non-runcraps go Z06 alignment specs, If you have run craps fo with a agressive stock 2000 alignment (slightly more neg camber) just remember the more camber the more the inside tire wear.

Not enough info to answer your question.

Sorry guys..

Car is 95% drag raced track car, the other 5% is driving to & from the track..

Lowered with BASE suspension, Bilstein Sport shocks...

19/20" Michlein Pilot Sport 2 tires..

Car runs straight & true, no pull when braking, but I'm noticing some "slight" wear on the OUTSIDE tread of each FRONT tire...

What do you guys suggest now?

Ok, you are a drag racer. Makes a big diff! You have wear on the outside edge? Not good! Wear should be to the inside edge. Could be too much toe in and not enough neg camber. Being you are a drag racer, I would go with the stock alignment and dial the rear camber to zero with zero toe, for the front I would go with the stock 2000 toe, 6, - 6.5 caster and maybe 3/4 degree of negative camber. I would keep the toe to the low end and when I go to the drag strip I would over inflate the fronts to get them up on the inside edge to reduce rolling friction. (effectively like a drag skinny)

The caster is what will keep you straight. I would not go over a degree of negative camber on street tires. Run Craps will only tolerate a half of a degree before they really start to wear on the in side. No run crap will take a little more.

sounds like good advice!! just wish i can find a shop to get me up on the lift!!!

does the Z06 specs really make that much of a difference? will you notice the car handling better? im lowered, Z06 sways, and bilsteins sports.

i would like to go Z06, but worried about wearing out my new kumho MX's real quick. how bad of an effect with Z06 spec??

I stayed at a Holiday Inn once

Silver6spd,
If you run factory Z06 specs and are running non-run craps, your wear will be no worse than a factory stock Z06. The key here is the tire sidewall. The standard C5 with run-craps will not tolerate much more than a half a degree of camber. Anything over that will start to increase tire wear. The EMT sidewalls are so stiff they do not allow the tire to sit flat with more camber hence wearing the tire faster.

You should be good with factory Z06 specs. Thing is make sure the alignment shop knows what they are doing and have a good Lazer alignment machine and that it is calibrated. If they can't get you on the lift, I would take that as a caution as to maybe they don't do that many C5s.

No the front toe is wrong, should be.

Front non Z06
Camber -.5 to -.7 degrees (Non runflats) stock range is -.5 to a -.1

Caster 6.0 to 6.9 degrees (what ever the stock setting is fine as long as it is more than 6 degrees and not over 7 degrees)

toe in -.07 degree stock range is -.05 to -.15

Rear toe 0 or as close as they can get
Rear Camber 0 or as close as they can get
