Tapping Noise
There is a tapping sound that is quite noticeable coming from the left side of the engine.
Took it to dealer as we have the GMPP. Dealer said they tested it and that the noise was normal for a corvette.
He also said to bring it back if it gets worst.
It is my wife's car; 2001, 32K miles.
What do you think?

The '01-'02 suffered from "piston slap." I talked to my dealer about it and he said that it will not harm anything, but, if I wanted to have it repaired under warranty, they would fix it (by tearing down the motor and installing revised pistons - all day job). I'll put up with the tap.
