Default Oil Pressure Sensor???

Replaced the sensor 2 weeks ago with a new Delco. Yesterday driving down the road the pressure went from zero to max then back several times. Of course when at zero I'm getting all kinds of warnings. What's going on? Bad sensor????

Yes; replace it again. If it's not really going to max, but to 40 psi, you may really be experiencing zero pressure, likely due to a bad oil pump.

Thanks for the response, Leaftye. It is actually going to 129psi and max on the gauge then back to zero. For the last 2 weeks the pressure has been steady and good. It's just so hard to believe that the part has gone out again so soon!

One my friends C5's did same thing. Replaced it a few weeks ago when we put an LS6 intake on car and then this past weekend guage goes nuts.
I wonder if GM got a bad batch from the supplier ?

I went through 3 at work before I could deliver the car back to the customer. I'd have to agree with a bad batch.

By buddy got the same issue. Dealer replace the sensor for him and couple weeks later, he got the same problem.
Dealer replace for him again for free.
I also have replaced mine 2 months ago and so far so good ...
Hope mine is not from a bad batch
Good luck!
