any body ever here about this chip. I can find any info about it. I bought my car with it already on and I wanna take it off.

I am not sure what it is , but I'm SURE it has nothing to do with the programing of the LS1.

Whatever it is GM did not put it there therefore you should be able to remove it w/o consequences. Post a picture and we'll try to determine what this "parasite" is.

I did a search on yahoo and found some interesting reading on the unit. Its called a unichip and from what I read it can be programmed to make all kinds of ajustments to the air/fuel spark advance and retard and alot more. It looks like this unichip is manufactured in England or down under in kangaroo land Australia www.unichip.us
