Passenger window motor replaced
Spent a couple of hours today replacing the Passenger window motor/regulator assembly, and I just wanted to tell anyone thinking about doing it themselves...Go right ahead, its not too bad for the Do it yourselfer!
Vette Essentials instructions for removing the door panel is much better than the Manual and The only tip I want to stress is to mark the window well. I used masking tape on the outside surface with a felt tipped marker to make index marks on both the window and the weather strip for both up & down, and Fore & aft. Makes locating the window on reassembly a Breeze!!!
After running it down the interstate, I only had to fine tune the Tip-in for wind noise.
Doing this job, I also discovered that you can adjust the window to go up alittle tighter if needed to help eliminate wind noise if tip-in doesnt do it.
