Where is the torque converter in a C5? I know I should know this, I already had the gears and TC changed!!! Is the clutch in a C5 in the same place as a TC on a manual?

Aside from the differences in the trannys, the clutch is in the same place, and does the same thing in a sense. The convertor acts as a clutch when your engine gets below the convertors stall speed. It starts to slip to allow you to idle without killing the engine.Maybe i went to far in this but here you are.

Ummm, it's in front of the tranny which is in front of the gearbox , which are all at the back end of the torque tube

The clutch is in the conventional spot -- at the front of the torque tube and behind the engine. The torque converter is in the rear -- at the back of the torque tube and in front of the tranny...
