I am gauging interest in a One Mile Shootout to be held in Texas, this would be within 100 miles of Dallas and have plenty of Run-off for the Big HP
Cars and Bikes. This would be a 2 Day event and possibly covered by a National Car magazine and media. The event would be open to any and all makes of cars and bikes. This would be a timed standing mile event and might settle some of the smack talk between Vendor vs. Vendor, Bike vs. Car,
Vette vs. Viper vs. Supra, Magnacharger vs. Procharger, Twin Turbo vs NOS, Import vs. Domestic etc............... I am looking at May/June time frame.
I appreciate everyones input.

I'd definitely be interested. It would be a lot closer than driving to Goliad. Just don't schedule it the same weekend as the Big Bend Open Road Race (April 20-23).

Details please...fee, # of runs, are there classes, which direction from Dallas? 100 miles south adds 100 miles to a 600 mile tow, what's there to do while your waiting to run. don't care much about the "national media" coverage, just a lot of quality time with my redline.
That does sound like a lot of fun. Any chance of LPE putting on an event like this for us in the Mid-West and North East? I-469 has a couple good strecthes of road on it
They have been doing this as a preliminary event at the Sand Hills Open Road Race for the past three years. It's a blast! Just to let you know the benchmark; two years ago, a guy from Chicago with a twin turbo Viper did 200.4 from a standing start in a measured mile. That's moving. - C.
