Default Chroming Stock Wheels

My '00 FRC currently has the stock silver-painted thin spoke wheels, and I would like to get a chrome set. Problem is, every set I see are repos, not re-chromed OEM wheels.

So, what to do? Is there anywhere that chrome plates your existing wheels, or are there places that take your OEM wheels as cores for OEM wheels they've had chromed?

And, please, don't aim me towards other aftermarket wheels. There are bunches of beauties out there, but also well out of my price range.

TIA, and have a good one,
Mike

Check forum vendors, most do exchanges in which you receive chromed OEM wheels in return for $$$ and your painted wheels. Bob @ House of Wheels, Corvettes of Houston, etc do this.

Not stearing to after-market, but I'll bet that you can get a new set of after-market "chromies" for about the same price as chroming stock (after refund on core charge). The repros are pretty good. I just mounted a set from COH.

Give Bob @ House Of Wheels a call. He has chrome Z06 Speedline's sometimes. I got mine from him. They look great, are triple plated and have a 3 year guarantee.

Thanks for the replies. I was going to go to COH (figured I could save quite a bit on shipping), but when I went to their website it appeared as though they're no longer offering the plating service, but just selling repros instead.

I'll give the forum vendors a call.

Thanks again, and have a good one,
Mike
