Default Coil-Overs

What is the difference between the 4 major coil-over brands?Carvaggio, LG, Doug Rippie, and breathless preformance

The Breatheless are the cheapest at 1,700 and the Rippies are next at 2,000, the LGs are around 2,100 and finally the Carvagggios are most expensive at 4,500...

What is the difference between them? What makes one better or worse then the other? Is there any reason not to get one over the other?

LG and DRM coil overs are the only "real" choices of the three. Do a search on the BPP coil overs. They are POS. I have had the BPP and can back that up. The consensus on the forum is to go with either the LG or DRM.

Mark Stein, at MSI(vendor), also has some good race proven coil-overs.

I looked through his site and found no info on coilovers... do you have any more information on them or a link to where they are on his site?

Never seen or heard about the MSI coil overs.
You will NOT be disappointed by going with LGM or DRM.

I give my vote to DRM for a lot of patience working with me to get my setup right. They sent me springs a couple of times so that I could adjust my ride. Good customer service is key.

Carvaggio has to have at least double-adjustable shocks at that price. That's crazy...

Give Mark a call at MSI on Tuesday. They are closed Monday. The DRM & LG shocks are good as well.

The carvagio kit uses Penske shocks.... they are lots of money, and the fact that carvaggio is over priced on most stuff doesnt help the casue either... but then there is that saying, you get what you pay for

I'm running Ohlins (46HRC) but have never seen a kit ready to use. I had to make the mounts myself using the same design with heim-joints as the LG setup.

Stay away from LG... I will be posting a message up at the end of this week about LG.

So far all I can say is it's been 1+ months and I paid for a set of coil overs and haven't seen a single thing yet. I called and everytime I call I get a run around about pieces not in, the guy who builds them has off and a bunch of other ****....

VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED w/ LG..... if and I say IF i get them this Friday I will be some what satisfied but I will never buy another thing from LG again. If they show up the following Monday I am sending them back and calling Doug Rippie.
