How to remove Evaporator Core?

I need some help removing the evaporator core. I have all the dashboard and trim panels removed. The HVAC module will not come out because as best I can tell, the heating pipes still have one bolt in them that is only accessible from the engine bay. The problem is that one bolt isn't exactly accessible. The shop manual calls for removing the engine manifold and various hoses to get at the bolt but this seems like a lot of work and a strange protocol for working on the HVAC unit which is not located in the engine bay. Has anyone else attempted this?

Man I feel sorry for you, I have never done it but read the manual on the procedure and unless you can get to those pipes you will most likely have to pull the manifold...Good Luck!

Does it say to remove the intake manifold?

If so thats not a bad job, certainly not as bad as stripping the dash
