Think I still have the stockers (26lbs?) on a 383 stroker I recently bought. I'm putting out about 550 at the crank - I've been told SVO's 30 lbser's would work. Just wondering if these are actually big enough now that I have done some research, and what are the consequences if I go bigger (38's). I have 11:1 compression, and I presume a stock fuel pump (which I believe can handle the power from what I recall). Mainly a weekend car. Has anyone used the Delphi's from Racetronix or Accels? Anything that I can really check if I get them used?
Also, any real difficulty in swapping? I've swapped cams in old small blocks, but these here new fandangled cars jus give me the *******.
That, and I have a crummy small apartment garage to conduct any work.
You need a good tuner to see if they are operating above 80% of the duty cycle. If so, I would go with the SVO #30, they actually flow about 36lbs on the GM set up.
