ac problem
I have a 98 with the manual control heater, ac, and the other day I put on the ac to clear the condensation off the windshield, and lo and behold....nada. First time I have put it on since last summer and at that time it worked fine. I've only got 33,000 miles and the ac was used very little. I can hear the compressor click on, but it doesn't recycle... Anyone know any secrets???

If your a/ccompressor is running constantly you have plenty of 134 in the system. Turning on the defrost will do the same thing as it's designed to dry the air blowing onto the windshield. Try turning on the defrost with fresh air selected and see if thet works. Jeremy

somebody mentioned the other day that if it is below 40 degrees, that the car will not let the AC come on. Fan only when it is that cold.
