Default Z06 injectors ?

Found this info :
C5 Corvette:

97-98 = 28.4 lbs/hr
80% duty cycle rating: 45.44 Crank HP x 8 = 363.52 Crank HP
100% duty cycle rating: 56.8 Crank HP x 8 = 454.4 Crank HP

99-2001 = 26.4 lbs/hr
80% duty cycle rating: 42.24 Crank HP x 8 = 337.92 Crank HP
100% duty cycle rating: 52.8 Crank HP x 8 = 422.4 Crank HP

Z06 = 28.2 lbs/hr
80% duty cycle rating: 45.12 Crank HP x 8 = 360.96 Crank HP
100% duty cycle rating: 56.4 Crank HP x 8 = 451.2 Crank HP

30 lbs/hr SVO = 36.12 lbs/hr (LS1 at 58psi)
80% duty cycle rating: 57.79 Crank HP x 8 = 462.33 Crank HP
100% duty cycle rating: 72.24 Crank HP x 8 = 577.92 Crank HP

On this site http://www.vetteguru.com/mods/howto/

Since iam just going to get some more power in my Z06 headers, cam and so on approx.430-450rwhp what i can see my injectors will max out before i get this horse powers. All you people that say run a h/c package and have around 450 rwhp have you changed your injectors ? or isnt the info. on this site correct ? Iam confused here ..... didnt think i had to change the injectors ...

Thanx in advance

Do you know what Brake Specific Fuel Consumption was used for the horsepower ratings? Those #'s seem low.

Also, I thought the 26# injectors were only on '99 ans '00 model years.

As did I. I thought the 1999-2000 LS1's had 26.2 lb injectors and the 2001-2004 LS1 and LS6 had 28.8 lb units. Didn't the LS1s used in the Camaro and Firbird lag one year behind the Corvette? If so, that could explain why someone would list the 26.2 lb injectors for 2001. Just a thought...

I just did headers, cam on my 2003 Z06 - power is now 449RWHP so I needed new injectors as well...

The SLP 36lbers are a good choice.

Ill be getting GM 38lbers based on recommendation from my motor guy they have a better spraypattern than the SVO's he told me, they also have a newer design thats better in his humble opinion.

At 431 RWHP my original 26# injectors were at 100% duty cycle at WOT at high RPM. Not a good thing for injector life.

My tuner (J&M Corvette) replaced them with 38# GM injectors and dyno tuned the car using HP Tuners. These are the same injectors used on the supercharged Buick 3.8 liter motors.

They have installed them on several C5's with head/cam mods with good results.
It's also nice to know they are proven Delco parts.
