Default Is it a problem to use two different tuners using LS1-edit?

Lets say you had some work done by tuner A (headers, throttle body, etc.) and had your PCM tuned using LS1-edit. A few years later, you decide to have a heads and cam package done by another tuner, tuner B, and have a tune done as well. Tuner A is now either out of business or no longer has a record of your edit. Would it be a problem for Tuner B to run LS1-edit in any way? Just curious.

The only way it would be a problem is if the first shop locked the PCM when it was programmed, my PCM was locked by a tuner and I needed to have someone else program the car so I wound up trailering the car to the dealership to have the PCM memory wiped clean and then have them reload the original program.

Take the PCM out, write down the VIN, go to a dealership, and have them reflash it to stock, if it is locked.

Otherwise ytuner B will have no problem.

Most dealerships need the car, they can't do bench programming because they don't have the cable to connect to the PCM

Good Quest Alex! I actually was thinking the same thing. Wonder if i can "hold something" to reload the original stock program if i needed to run to chevy dealer and back to the custom tune after.

PS
Thanks for the advice on gears & Kooks. Love it!

Most dealerships around here do it out of the car.

Why did you have to trailer the car to the dealer? Did something happen that prevented you from driving it to the dealer to have the original programming installed?

Yeh, I was taking the car from Memphis to Dallas and it doesn't drive very well from a stock tune with the mods that I had done.
