WHICH Techron product do you buy?

Techron is for general use, Pro-Guard for specific problems.
I use Techron.

I'm assuming its the "Techron"..
No Chevrons here in Phila PA..
Anyone know if the new Shell V Power fuel has Techron, or is Techron exclusive to Chevron only?
I have been using Amoco (BP) almost exculsively, but the Texaco down the block just switched over to Shell, and I "heard" the Shell V Power is supposed to be a very good Top Tier fuel..
Not sure how it compares to Amoco (BP)...
Hopefully someone can say if Techron is only in Chevron or if its in another brand. I "think" Techron is Chevron's "branded name" for whatever generic chemical compound "Techron" is....
I could be wrong though..
Techron is made by Chevron. One guy on the forum worked at the Belle Chase, LA, place where they make it. Since Texaco merged with Chevron I assume Texaco is now putting it in their gasoline but I am not sure.
One thing I know is that it is scary stuff with regard to cleaning. I have used it since 2000 for cleaning engine parts in addition to putting in fuel occaisionally. Poured some in my 280zx throttle body to clean it out (recommended by a great mechanic back then) and it looked like it had been sandblasted in about 10 seconds.
Probably causes cancer in mice in California!
Great stuff.
Trust I answered your question.

That's the link I gave you -- take a look. It's all explained if you take the trouble to click the link.
This stuff, right?
