Does anyone know of racing shifters for our automatic transmissions? What I am think of is a shifter I had for an older Camaro...It had a zig-zag pattern and you couldn't miss a gear.
maybe even a ratchet style shifter.
I've seen aftermarket shifters, but don't know if they'll work in a C5.
No such beast, I am looking a modifiy the stock shifter to ratchet but I haven't played with it for a while. There is really no need to shift it anyway, the computer does a better job. Just put it in three and let it do it's thing. IMHO and YMMV. Jeff
The only aftermarket A4 shifter will soon be available from American Supercars; they estimate two months from now. The shifter is a paddle type on the steering wheel; the photo of the universal model can be seen on the 2005 SEMA website. I couldn't get on the website (American Supercars llc.com); that's where more information is. The phone is 760-723-3684 in California.
