Default Quickie question about Active Handling

On my '04 coupe.....when I push and release the A/H button, that turns it ALL off, active handling AND traction control, right?

But when I push the A/H button and hold it in for 10 seconds and the words "competitive driving" shows up, I still have active handling and only the traction control is turned off.....

Is that how it works? Or is it the other way around?

Just checking to make sure before I go and do something really stupid.

MagikDraggin,

I like thinking of it this way in order to better understand the modes.

Traction control on = Full computer control in case you start losing the car in a sideways motion, etc. It basically helps you catch the car and works GREAT on the track. It doesn't allow you to use full power to the ground in a burn-out type situation.

Traction control off = On your own 100% and you can get all the power down to the ground during burn-out situations and if you start losing the car, PRAY!

Competitive Driving Mode = Full power to the ground during burn-out type situations, but should you start to lose the car, the computer will modulate brake pressure to each caliper to help you keep the car straight and works great for track conditions.

Hope this may help put it in better prospective.

Shawn

Yes that is how it is, and the third option is the default, when you start your car, AH on and TC on.
