My car is lowered, this sound came shortly after. It is not a tire size issue, and is not the leaf spring, there is a good piece of rubber in between it and a-arm. The clunking sound is only on driver side front, and only when that tire goes over a bump. I don't think it is the shock bottoming out, it is new and it is not that low yet(26" from ground to fender). This is frustrating, I have looked around at everything and I have no idea what is rubbing/hitting what, everything seems tight. Please offer any suggestions, could I have loosened something when lowering?
Update, my one clue is this bolt(the one pointed to in pic) may be a tad loose, would this cause that noise. If so, I have another problem, the torx/allan part used to hold the bolt while you loosen is stripped, how do I tighten it now?
Well problem solved, I slammed that nut tight by holding end with good old vice grips. I will replace end links later, I'll cut that wh8re off if I have too. Turns out the sway bar was rubbing a bit. Thanks for reply nasty, I guess that ends this stupid thread , unless that stink'in noise comes back
If you look or feel the back side of the link (the part that is touching the inside of the control arm) you can hold the shaft with a wrench. Try not to cut of because of the aluminum control arm.
